Thévenin’s Equivalent

Students usually have problem visualizing how to simplify circuit analysis using Thévenin’s Theorem. I hope that the diagram below explains the procedure or the simple concept of how to do it.


Try to understand the simplified circuit is made of ONE Thévenin voltage which the open circuit voltage, the maximum available voltage and ONE internal resistance, Thévenin’s resistance. After simplifying the circuit any voltage or current in a resistor called load connected to the terminal can be easily calculated.
