A breadboard is a tool that every electronic experimentalist will use. Instead of creating a printed circuit board or directly connect electronic component by soldering, a breadboard is the flexible tool to make connection to any component in any way. The picture below illustrates how a breadboard is made. This is another device that is made from insulator as well as conductor second to a switch.
With the breadboard designed in this way, the voltage or current from any supply can be controlled in a desired connection.
The positive supply is usually connected to the top metal rail and the negative supply is usually connected to the bottom metal rail in the horizontal manner.
Any integrated circuit will fit right at the middle leaving the top vertical connection and the bottom vertical connection to be connected to other circuits or components.
