燒賣 siu mei (mix dumpling)

Ingredients:

12 wan ton wrapping, 4 oz pork, 2 oz shrimp meat, 2 mushrooms

Seasoning:

1/3 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 teasoon corn flour, 1 teaspoon light soya sauce, 1/4 teaspoon MSG (optional), shakes of pepper, few drops of sesame oil

Method:

  1. Dice all ingredients.
  2. Season and marinade for 1 hour.
  3. Cut the wan ton wrappings into rounds.
  4. Spoon in the fillings; fold in the wrapping to form siu mei.
  5. Place siu mei on a greased steamer or plate and steam over a high heat for 10 minutes.
